Privacy policy
Who we are
Aura Glossy is a fashion-editorial discovery platform operated under the Aura Glossy brand. Contact: auraglossy.support@gmail.com.
What we collect
If you don't sign up
You can browse the homepage, aesthetic pages, Aura Daily, the LORA landing, and the moodboard preview without any account. We store a small anonymous identifier in your browser's localStorage so the site works (language preference, cookie acknowledgement, intro-seen flag). No personal data leaves your device.
If you create an account
- Email address and authentication provider (Google sign-in or email/password) — handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see your password.
- Quiz result — the aesthetic you were matched with, your top-three breakdown, and the answers you gave. Saved so your experience can be personalized to your style.
- Moodboard — the outfits and inspiration cards you save.
- LORA assistant data (early access) — when LORA, your personal glow-up assistant, launches: what you choose to share with her (style goals, preferences, conversations) is stored privately under your own account, visible only to you, and deletable by you.
- Community posts and comments (former feature) — the Community feature is no longer an active part of the site as we build LORA. Posts, comments, and reactions you made while it was active remain safely stored and are not shared; contact us any time to have yours deleted.
Where it lives
Account data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication + Firestore). Firebase is hosted by Google and operates under Google's privacy policy. The Aura Glossy site itself is hosted on Netlify.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not place advertising trackers, Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or third-party cookies.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not see what you buy when you tap a retailer link — that happens in a new tab on the retailer's own site under their privacy policy.
- We do not profile you for ad targeting.
Third-party retailer links
When you tap a "Shop now" hotspot, Aura Glossy opens a new browser tab pointing at a retailer's search page (Zara, H&M, COS, Uniqlo, Modanisa, Charles & Keith, Mejuri, Adidas, Nike, SHEIN, Sephora, ASOS, and similar). From that point on, the retailer's privacy policy governs the visit. Aura Glossy does not manufacture or own the linked products; we curate matches based on the look in the image.
Your rights
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — fix anything that's wrong.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and all associated data. You can also do this yourself from the Settings page once signed in.
- Portability — get your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — opt out of any non-essential processing.

Cookies and storage
We use browser localStorage and sessionStorage for essential site operation (auth session marker, language, onboarding state, intro-seen, pending shop action). See our cookies page for the full list.
Children
Aura Glossy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top and, if you have an account, send you an email summarising what changed.
